Turkey: The screening of “Four Mothers,” part of the programme of the 4th European Cinema Days held in Trabzon from October 1 to 4, was cancelled after Ahmet Muratoğlu, the Trabzon provincial chair of the Felicity Party (Saadet Partisi), singled out the film, alleging that it engaged in “LGBTI+ propaganda.” The Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TTSO), where the film was to be shown, said the cancellation was due to “the sensitivity that has emerged in public opinion.”
