The government operation dubbed “My Family Is Safe,” targeting LGBTİ+ associations, activists, student clubs, entertainment venues and gay bars, as well as content creators, began late on the night of September 12 and is still ongoing.
Operations have been carried out against LGBTİ+ associations and activists in 15 cities, primarily Ankara, Mersin, Kuşadası, Istanbul, and İzmir. Some of the associations targeted include:

In Istanbul, police also raided numerous entertainment venues frequented by LGBTİ+ people.
The number of people detained in the operation has reportedly reached 162 so far. This number is expected to rise.
